Dr. Aravamuthan is an Internist, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.She has been practicing in San Jose since 1999. She currently holds admitting privileges at Regional Medical Center of San Jose, O'Connor Hospital and El Camino Hospital. In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Aravamuthan also serves as an Expert Medical Reviewer for the Medical Board of California and Lumetra, a Healthcare Consulting Firm involved with Medicare quality improvement. Dr. Aravamuthan completed her residency in 1996 and has been practicing since then. She was first certified by ABIM in 1996 and recently recertified in 2007. Dr. Aravamuthan graduted from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the Georgetown Department of Medicine, D.C.General Hospital, Washington D.C. I was born in North Carolina grew up in Ohio and have called the Bay Area home since age 11. I absolutely love the Bay Area because of all it has to offer. Especially important to me is the region's cultural diversity as well as the variety of entertainment and cuisine. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, earned my MD from Ross University and completed my residency in OB & GYN at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, California. I worked at Kaiser Permanante as an OBGYN physician for 4 years, achieved Board Certification and became a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynocology (FACOG). I am married and the mother of two (eight and six years old) and appreciate the role of women in society, the work place and in the home. It is my pleasure to care for women, and help them to thrive in their roles. I enjoy the OBGYN speciality because it allows me to get to know my patients as I follow them over the year(s) and become part of their precious moments with the birth of their child. I am excited about serving the residents of South Santa Clara County through my practice in Morgan Hill I offer Well Woman Exams and full range of OB GYN services, including 3D/4D Ultrasounds, Infertility treatments, and advanced minimally invasive procedures. Outside of work, I love to travel, spend time with my family, watch movies and read.
